in 2019 Montoya released his 3rd album ‘Otun’ on ZZK Records. His blend of Afro-Colombian Rhythms and electronic beats (featuring vocalists Pedrina and Quantic collaborator Nidia Gongora) found support from the likes of Branko, Nubya Garcia, and more. Now Otun is getting the remix treatment.
The first remix is by one of Latin America’s most highly regarded producers, DJ Raff. Referenced by producers like Nicola Cruz as being influential in their own outlook, his impact in music has been clear from an early age. Since moving to London DJ Raff has gained support from the likes of Tom Ravenscroft and Gilles Peterson (BBC 6 Music) and in 2020 released music on Dengue Dengue Dengue’s new label Kebrada.
DJ Raff’s remix of ‘Solo Quiero’ exhibits his pop sensibilities. Inspired by piano rave music, Caribbean percussion, and slow Balearic house, Raff’s remix turns the original into a summer drenched tune.

All time album for me, very special and I dont even speak a lick of spanish. All the songs are just great and tell their own story in your own head space. Turned me on to a whole new genre of music. Favorite is the song that introduced me to El Buho, a fun, wild ride of a song David K
